1. Masculinity

1. Masculinity

Masculinity

Masculinity is scarce in the modern day. Here’s some resources that will help you find it.

Necessary Context:

My perception of masculinity is simply becoming a version of yourself that’s tailored to fulfilling your purpose. General themes that will be congruent with attainment of your purpose are emotional control, controlled aggression (this is not necessarily violence, but more taking risks in business etc.), physical and mental fortitude, and unwavering faith in God.

But I believe masculinity, like many things, is individual. I often define it as ‘masculinity is not defined by parameters, its defining parameters’, because it’s about you having agency of your life and making your own decisions on how man should act, regardless of other people’s opinions. For example: a man whose purpose is to be an aspiring politician would spend more time educating himself and honing his people and articulation skills than perhaps working on his physical fortitude, and a man whose purpose is to be a UFC fighter would spend more time on his physical fortitude than educating himself or working on his articulation skills, yet both men can still be masculine despite having contradicting practices, because ultimately they are both acting in alignment with their purpose. There is no one set path to masculinity.

This is not to say pick a few skills and master them, but more so that being masculine is becoming the man you need to be to best serve the world, irregardless of the pain you endure or what you want. It is ultimately sacrifice. Sacrifice of personal desires and hedonic pleasure, sacrifice of whatever it takes to do what needs to be done. This brings me onto the greatest example of masculinity the world has ever seen:

Jesus.

Jesus endured unspeakable pain and ultimately sacrificed his own life because that’s what was best for the world. Despite what some may say, he was far from a pacifist either.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s foes will be members of one’s own household” (Matthew 10:34-36).

These are far from the words of a pacifist. There’s a reason why a cross is used in exorcisms to make demons flee. Because the devil is terrified of Jesus. To speak in Gen Z, this man has maxxed out aura. Personally, I don’t know many pacifists that inspire fear in the dark depths of evil.

I want to make this clear. Jesus is the only man who is a genuine perfect example of how a masculine man should act, and he is the only man who you can look up to as a role model. This is the same man whom millions of masculine men, many of which have achieved greatness that we could not even imagine, have looked up to. We are not wiser than these men.

Any mortal man, no matter how high flying, how strong, how disciplined, how rich, how respected, how good-hearted, you can never look up to. This is because we are all sinners as humans. So, you must look at them eye to eye.

This is easier said that done however, so I’ll divulge an analogy I use to prevent this. I want you to imagine life as a man as a travelator (the flat escalators) we’re all walking on. Everyone, me, you, and also these men that have achieved a great deal in life, for example: Jocko Willink, David Goggins, Andrew Tate, whomever you idolise. However, these men who have achieved a lot are not above me and you as the travelator is flat, they are merely further along the travelator of life than us.

So of course, respect them and learn from them, but do not falsely idolise them and view them as above you. Because that will lead to you falsely looking down on others when you reach their position and achieve things in life. No man is God except for Jesus.

This information is very important for when looking through the following information.

Resources:

So as aforementioned, the best teachings about masculinity will be found in the bible. More specifically, the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which depict the life of Jesus.

But as far as human interpretations (remember, I’m not saying X is right or Y is wrong, I’m merely providing information for you to make your own informed decisions), these are men I have drawn value from (their height and weight is listed for 2 reasons, 1:It’s goony, 2: the variety of height and weight shows it doesn’t really matter as all of these men have made it onto this list), I hope it’s valuable:

Better Call George: https://youtube.com/@bettercallgeorge924?si=0QvA6com5ulagaqE

Height: 6’0

Weight: Estimated 85kg

Keywords: mastering the feminine, masculinity, internal security, religious awakening.

Better call George is essentially a bald Russian goon who had an interesting YouTube character arc to say the least. He initially began by teaching about how to be successful with women with a methodology that countered the red pill narrative of ‘Looks, money & status’, which was extremely effective as he had none of these aforementioned traits yet still had immense success with women.

His methodology was essentially to be masculine and emotionally secure, thus he also released videos on how to be a masculine man with a unique perspective which I’ve not heard anywhere else, yet still rings the bells of truth. He’s also heavily critical of men like Hamza, Andrew and Tristan Tate.

However, his arc was short lived as he had a spiritual awakening which consisted of out of body experiences in which he saw heaven, hell and spoke to God. Thus, his content transformed into a fascinating perspective on religion, which I’d also recommend you watch. This divine guidance saw his departure from YouTube however as he decided to fully devote his life to God. Very enjoyable content with unique insights and I highly recommend.

Hamza: https://youtube.com/@hamza97?si=p68fbtfjrudA2B5s

Height: 6’1

Weight: Estimated 92kg

Keywords: mental health, masculinity, business, health, self-improvement.

I’m sure we all know who Hamza is, so I won’t give you his life story. He gets a lot of stick these days, but this is likely from men who have chosen to idolise him, a mortal man, and this is exhibit A of why you shouldn’t idolise mortal men. We are all sinners. Regardless of these controversies and whether they have weight or not (I don’t care to be honest, and neither should you), Hamza helped greatly in transforming my life and perspectives, and has undoubtedly had an immense net positive effect on the world.

He has fantastic content, and people forget he just a young man who’s just further along the travelator of life than us. I will not waste my time criticising a man who has the balls to go against the societal grain whilst millions remain silent and uncriticised. Especially if you aren’t particularly far along the travelator of life, Hamzas content is fantastic.

Andrew Tate: https://x.com/Cobratate

Tate confidential: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfLgi7nRe4-eqtsO5H6q1mtVZWMg_uv5x&si=e0NnDdP2dijt3dLE

Good Podcast: https://youtu.be/88ibAvTtWLc?si=wFGa-DRVi4Svdsom

Height: 6’2.5

Weight: 93kg

Keywords: motivation, discipline, masculinity, humour, political incorrectness.

Andrew is a man who truly needs no introduction. He is the definition of a marmite public figure because of the insanely negative press around this man. It is because of this negative press that I suggest you listen to what he has to say, because someone doesn’t want you to hear it. He is one of the most misrepresented men in recent times, and this is not helped by the fact he makes no effort to remedy this reputation, in fact he quite enjoys stoking the flames of controversy.

He’s a man that had changed millions and millions of lives through sheer bollocks to speak his mind in a world of political incorrectness, and when you understand who he is and what he stands for, I promise you, you can’t help but like him. But this does take a great degree of stoicism and some navigating through his tongue in cheek humour, because he truly does not give a fuck. I know a lot of people disagree, but I think him and Tristan are some of the only men at their echelon of fame that are not bought and paid for and have their own genuine opinions.

It seems mandatory to state that ‘I don’t agree with everything he says’ as everyone does – of course I don’t, there isn’t a red-blooded man alive who I’d agree with on everything, but honestly speaking, without Andrew Tate, there’s a fair chance I’d personally still be a purposeless fat alcoholic.

One criticism is, there isn’t a huge amount of depth to his message, so it mainly serves men who are not far along the travelator of life, but check him out regardless (he’s done fuck tonnes of podcasts, I’ve linked a good one above), but if you actually want to understand his real character, I’d recommend watching old ‘Tate confidential’ videos, I’ve linked a playlist of them above.

Tristan Tate: https://x.com/TateTheTalisman

Tate confidential: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfLgi7nRe4-eqtsO5H6q1mtVZWMg_uv5x&si=e0NnDdP2dijt3dLE

Good Podcast: https://youtu.be/YhbNwa0EOjg?si=RAgVF2w6wnme7qwT

Height: 6’4

Weight: 110kg

Keywords: history, discipline, masculinity, humour, political incorrectness.

Tristan is actually very different to Andrew. He too has been misrepresented by the press, but perhaps not as aggressively, and he doesn’t stoke the flames of controversy quite the same as Andrew either. Nonetheless, he is a very knowledgeable man with his own unique perspectives and is particularly well-versed in history. An articulate, diligent and well-dressed gentlemen who provides a positive message for young men. He’s also one of the biggest booze heavyweights I’ve ever seen, as you may well see on tateconfidential.

Kaal Raam: https://youtube.com/@kaalraam?si=ZjLajraVC5aN1tW_

Community: https://www.skool.com/kcc

Height: Estimated 5’10

Weight: Estimated 75kg

Keywords: esoteric health, history, biology, vitality, masculinity.

Kaal runs a diligent YouTube channel and community (which I am personally in), and he boasts a vast knowledge of biology and history. The territory he takes up in the masculinity space specialises in ‘esoteric health’: how men can restore health and vitality in a world which seeks to render men obese and sexually dysfunctional. He is not limited to just esoteric health however, as he also ventures onto topics such as philosophy, religion, history, mindset and masculinity, yet never fails to provide insights and values from his content. I’ve spoken to Kaal on numerous occasions, and he’s also a great guy, I highly recommend his content and community.

1stMan: https://youtube.com/@1stman?si=s0HqLDMjJHw4ncse

Community: https://www.skool.com/1stman/about

Height: 6’2

Weight: estimated 96kg

Keywords: masculine development, brotherhood, self-improvement, diligence.

I’ve only recently discovered 1stman and have not indulged in a plethora of his content, so my breakdown isn’t going to be too thorough. Regardless, the quality and quantity of his content was sufficient to convince me of his diligence, thus he deserves a spot. I especially admire his community, which I believe has physical locations you can visit if you’re a member which is cool as fuck. He’s also British so up the boys. Would recommend checking this man out.

Father Moses: https://youtube.com/@fathermosesmcpherson?si=-MZblFKKYVGbA_NM

Estimated height: 5’8

Weight: 102kg

Keywords: priest, masculinity, relationships, God, religion, personal development

Father Moses is my current favourite youtuber, he’s essentially a jacked and based orthodox priest who’s very articulate, wisened and educated on life. He’s faced his unfair share of adversity yet remains steadfast in his faith regardless. His videos cover a range of topics from emasculation to relationships, to even trauma, and I’ve just linked his whole channel as he’s yet to miss on one of his videos. Really recommend checking this diligent man’s content out, he’s a man who commands respect.

Chris Williamson: https://youtube.com/@chriswillx?si=3AFBMDyAyJq1-t5A

Height: 5’11

Weight: Estimated 88kg (10kg of that being his forearms)

Keywords: Diligence, articulation, intellectual curiosity, precision, masculinity.

Chris Williamson is the host of the podcast ‘Modern Wisdom’. He’s a British man (again, up the boys) who indefatigably built his podcast brick by brick into one of the biggest (and best) in the world. Chris is also one of the best in the world at sublimating his thoughts into well-articulated and precise points, rendering his podcasts an intellectual joy to indulge in. He’s also a big advocator for masculinity and is quick to vocalise his concerns for the struggles of modern day men, cries which often fall upon deaf ears. Just an all-round good bloke with a top tier podcast. Highly recommend his podcast.

Goony podcast with Dr Abud Bakri: https://youtu.be/uMY4v4Sqs_w?si=nYI9-Zuu4Fwh_Q0N

Height: Estimated 5’8

Weight: Estimated 78kg (guys shredded as a lettuce)

Keywords: biohacking, masculinity, articulation, health, evolutionary biology, ADHD.

I cannot get enough of this guy’s content at the minute honestly so many gems and interesting and well-educated viewpoints. Despite no prior qualifications, immense diligence (and ADHD used correctly) has engendered this man an expansive knowledge of biology which he puts to good use by means of giving highly educated advice on androgenic health, and useful androgenic life advice to men.

One of this mans most impactful modes of thinking is reframing having ‘ADHD’ as actually being a ‘hunter’ archetype, and even a superpower if leveraged correctly. This guy is fascinating and highly intelligent, whenever I watch his content, I’m usually blown away. Heavily recommend. You can start by watching his podcast (linked above) with Dr Abud Bakri who’s the next goon on the list, I promise you you’ll be impressed.

Dr Abud Bakri: https://x.com/AbudBakri

Goony podcast with Noah Ryan: https://youtu.be/uMY4v4Sqs_w?si=nYI9-Zuu4Fwh_Q0N

Height: 6’3

Weight: Estimated 110kg

Keywords: Doctor, Islam, Testosterone, Masculinity, Androgenic.

Dr Abud Bakri is the self-proclaimed ‘most based doctor on the internet’, and I can attest to that claim. Highly educated, jacked, based, and androgenic, what’s not to love? (No homo). Expect in depth advice on how to optimise your health and embrace masculinity in order to be the most androgenic version of yourself. Again, this man is extremely intelligent and offers many captivating viewpoints. He’s mainly on X, but also has a plethora of podcasts, again, I’d recommend starting on his podcast with Noah Ryan linked above.
